1). Vikings QB Christian Ponder has confirmed he is dating ESPN college football reporter Samantha Steele. Is there typically a policy in the newsroom where reporters are perhaps discouraged from dating professional athletes or is it up to the discretion of the reporter. I ask because I wonder if the is a possibility the reporter could lose any credibility and perhaps be looked at differently.
2). In class, we have been discussing the Associated Press Sports Editors reports and what is considered to be serious issues in journalism and primarily sports journalism. Professionalism was viewed as being number one, while diversity was viewed as the least concerning issue. Would you agree with these or do you think it's something else?
3). Class after class, we are being told that the newspaper industry is dead and or on the verge of dying. Do you yourself agree with this statement?
